Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the official MiraFolio applications for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows (collectively, “MiraFolio” or “the App”). Features, distribution channels and payment options differ by platform. By downloading or using an official MiraFolio build, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Service

MiraFolio helps you organize your own photos and rotate them as wallpapers. Depending on the platform, it can provide no-repeat or sequential playback, reversible archive or recycle-bin curation, wallpaper automation, a protected Private Album, local Wi-Fi transfer, optional AI-assisted tagging, or independent multi-monitor controls.

Platform limitations matter. On Apple platforms, wallpaper changes are performed through Apple Shortcuts because iOS and iPadOS do not provide a public API for third-party apps to set wallpapers directly. Android uses system wallpaper and background-work APIs. Windows manages desktop wallpaper locally and may pause rotation around fullscreen activity. System services, battery policies and device-manufacturer behavior are outside our control.

2. License and Platform Distribution

For App Store and Google Play builds, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable store terms. You may not sell, lease, circumvent purchase verification, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by applicable law.

The Windows source code may be made available separately under the MIT License in its official repository. Use of that source code is governed by the included license. The MiraFolio name, logo and icon are not granted under the MIT License and remain subject to the published brand asset policy.

3. Your Content

All photos and images you manage in MiraFolio remain yours. We claim no ownership of your content. You are responsible for the material you import or use as wallpaper and for ensuring that your use does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law.

4. Purchases, Subscriptions and Refunds

• Some mobile features, including adding new photos to the Private Album and Wi-Fi transfer, may require a paid upgrade called Pro.
• On Apple platforms, monthly and yearly Pro periods are non-renewing purchases; a lifetime purchase may also be offered.
• On Android, monthly and yearly Pro plans are auto-renewing subscriptions unless cancelled through Google Play; a lifetime one-time purchase may also be offered.
• Current products, billing periods and regional prices are always shown by the applicable store before purchase.
• Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies. We do not receive payment-card or bank details and cannot issue store refunds directly.
• When a time-limited Pro entitlement expires, existing imported content remains available for browsing, organization, export and rotation; adding new Private Album photos and other Pro-gated actions may pause until access is renewed.
• The free, open-source Windows version does not include mobile Pro purchases.

5. Optional Third-Party Services

• iCloud sync uses Apple CloudKit under your own Apple Account and is subject to Apple's terms.
• AI tagging requires an OpenAI-compatible service and API key that you configure. Its fees, availability and handling of submitted images are governed by your agreement with that provider.
• Platform automation can depend on Apple Shortcuts, Android background work, Tasker, MacroDroid or Windows system facilities and is subject to those products' behavior and terms.
• Distribution platforms such as the App Store, Google Play and GitHub Releases are operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use MiraFolio to store, display or distribute unlawful content; access another person's device or local transfer session without authorization; disrupt the App; or circumvent platform security and purchase verification.

7. Backups and Data Loss

You are responsible for maintaining backups of content that matters to you. Deleting a mobile app removes locally stored Private Album photos and other app data unless you exported them or, on Apple platforms, completed optional iCloud sync. Android Auto Backup is disabled for MiraFolio app data. Windows source images remain in the folders you selected, while app settings, indexes, logs and recycle-bin state are stored locally.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

MiraFolio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, exact background timing, identical wallpaper cropping on every device, or compatibility with every automation and monitor configuration.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from use of or inability to use MiraFolio. Our total aggregate liability for a claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for MiraFolio in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow particular exclusions or limitations. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

10. Termination

Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you materially fail to comply with them. Upon termination, you must stop using the affected official builds. Provisions concerning your content, backups, disclaimers and liability survive termination where applicable.

11. Changes to MiraFolio and These Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, preview programs or distribution channels. We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. App Store and Google Play

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Store operators have no obligation to provide MiraFolio support and handle store transactions under their own policies. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the Apple-distributed App and may enforce the applicable provisions against you.
